I'm sure his wife will understand the affair.

a wiiu in piano black. (premium package)
only myself to blame.
item was pre-owned, black version, 32g embedded flash, had two dlc games, and a trial....
all of which was redeemed by the last owner.
what i did:
1, safety/electrical tests. (pass)
2, utter destruction of the existing account. (pass) it's worth noting nintendo BAN outright the console if it's just given away. the dlc's were PAID for, and they STILL had the temerity to behave like m$ and $ony.
3, nintendo verified the mac id, quoted some flimsy line 'we reserve the right without prior notice...blah' and offered the dlc's at FULL price...they was already paid for by the last owner of the package, HUCKSTERS! ](*,)
4, the gamepad is the only reason i got the pos, it'll be worth it in the end.
5, did set me back hundred and fifty gbp's. physical condition of the package is as immaculate as that fabled fictional birth that written about in the worlds best (or poor taste) work of fiction. :agrue:
[edit]
typo.

^^ looks like on old ferguson, or granada?! (with a uv reduction tint barrier pane.)
only down side to those lovely ladies, some light guns couldn't be calibrated to the tv, unless pane was removed for the purpose of the pistol. created a nasty offset, and couldn't really be compensated for. settings on both sides didn't have the ranges OFF THE MAP!(bloody good reason for the forward glass pane, tubes on them really kick out the rads.)
a fantastic box for it's time, won't see many in working condition nowadays.
(those PVR max headroom studio boxes, they are the tits, but damn pricey.) 8)

OH.MY.GOD

Bought this ultra-stylish strap leather watch before the school year ended. Why? To support Shenmue (lel) and It's bout' time to switch from a shitty £10 digital watch to a £40 analog one anyway. Like a real adult man.

Finally! someone to talk to about CRT's and we both share a favorite computer :D
The picture tube in the set is philips, the tint glass on the unit however is missing but untinted CRT's have never bothered me so whats the worry.
I currently have no remote for the set (most universal remotes aren't compatible) so until a remote arrives I cannot actually power the set on so it will all be a mystery on what the picture will be like.
It does have a very beefy aperture grille (You could play the thing like a harp!) I dont work with philips sets often so I was quite suprised it didnt have a shadow mask but these things are always full of suprises!

understood.
really hope you get it working in the end.
for a possible ir remote solution, a psp-100x with ir socket may help?
1, cfw'd chunky 100x range psp.
2, irshell frontend for psp. (and there's actual remote control apps as standalone, irshell is editable.)
3, PRONTOCODES for irshell, they're txt/cfg documents that use hex payload values to represent the specific ir frequencies.
...
yeah, about a year ago, got a real nasty kick off the tube from an old bush B&W portable trying to repair it. (i know what a heart attack is, electric IS heart attack juice.)
wasn't successful.
most of the bloody board parts were burnt out, and i couldn't be arsed to play internet, AND effect that kind of repairs.
so i gave it to a friend, he fixed it, but i didn't ask how. (must've been a bitch.)
....
as for the uv barrier, if you're fine with it, you know that score.
i still use one on my old amiga scart/CVBS (philips too) box.
clarity is immaculate for a CRT, but goddamn bright, even with contrast and brightness lowered.
can't effectively use a lightgun while it's glass pane is in place.
...
all the best to getting the max out of it. (and agreed, amiga does the impossible, and leaves others dead in it's wake.) :king:

I never used the amiga 1200. But during my childhood, my uncle had an amiga 500 which i used to play with a lot.
Games like lotus 2, mercs, shadow dancer, wings of fury, sensible soccer and many others will always have a special place in my heart.

I had a mega drive/Genesis (for the americans) at the time but, i was always amazed at how good the sound and graphics of the amiga were.

Wish i had an amiga 500, but now i can only play those games in the emulator.

^^ i know the feeling, really. it's this simple:
ALL my dreamcast shit, including the LTD-EDIT (black/blue) POS, and shenmue can be burned at the fuckin stake in trade of my amiga1200 maxed out.
it's a vital expansion card i require that practically costs a bloody kickstarter to even have a look-in. (and CBM as a whole work well with ams-neve recording studios.)
...
yeah, emulators still have a way to go, even for ACCURATE a500 amulation.
...
keep your eyes peeled for a base unit, are relatively common...(and look into the 'gotek' floppy disk drive emulator board.
can store disk images on it in stacks, and save razzing the cock off the actual floppy drive itself. like on optical drive emulator, bot for floppy controllers instead.)
acquiring high-end expansions for the amiga, are like trying to exume my dead cow of a mum to make me breakfast! (it's NOT happennin' any time soon afaict.)
