My W500 Thinkpad arrived a few days ago!

Same as one in pic but 1680x1050 display.

Seller advertised it as 1920x1200 but it came with an extended battery that holds charge for hours so I didn't complain.
For 60 quid you cant go wrong!
Massive upgrade from my T60p!
Ive got 2 4gig sticks of DDR3 that im gonna stick in it.
Main reason I upgraded was because of FGLRX and my T60p so I was very limited when it came to graphics.
I have ran into the same problem with this machine but I can dualboot windows and it has VT-X virtualization support.

It'll run anything CAD/Game wise.
Will do any form of real time audio work fine.
People complain about the screen but its one of the best LCD'd ive used. 16:10 nice contrast ratio so I can do digital photography work with it.
Anyone here who does web development will know how good 16:10 displays are.

i recently got a low end, cheap 8" tablet which is running windows.

only ever using ipads in the past, im quite surprised at how good this tablet is. unfortunately the battery is poor (5-6hours. and cant be left in standby as it drains the battery) but changing some of the settings it works fine. i really dont expect it to last more than a full year but for the price i paid: £60.. its not a bad buy.

A 2012 Chevy Cruze. I hadn't planned on buying a car for at least a few months, but my old one kinda forced my hand. My new job's going pretty good so far, so why not. Love the thing so far.

Got a shitty laptop on black friday, just to have something not awful to use until I decide to build a nice desktop.

I got an xbone a few weeks ago thanks to a sale. Came with Halo 5, Halo: MCC, Forza 5, and Gears of War Ultimate. Been playing a ton of Halo 5. I wish MCC was more populated though. :(

I got a new wallet the other day to replace my probably 10+ year old one that was falling apart.. Got some new jeans and shirts too.

Some new shoes for work.

Got an iPhone 6S 64GB because my HTC One would barely last a whole day.

I plan on finally contributing to Shenmue 3 this week when I get paid again. Probably only gonna do $60 or so because I plan on spending way too much on Christmas presents, but at least I'll finally be able to.

I think that covers the major things I've bought over the last few weeks.. Been broke/poor for quite a while so it felt kinda good to buy some nice shit for a change.

New guitar. An ESP Ltd EC-331. A nice upgrade over what I got last time. Never had one with active pickups before, but it's making a real difference. Sounds excellent.
