Remember, Jesus loves you. Unless you seduce a bunch of innocent, unassuming men into having sex with you.

Then he kills your kids.

Do you believe that devotion to a God -- with whom we depend on for all moral thinking -- is dangerous to the individuality of humanity and freedom?

I agree with the Five Percenters, the black man is God. So to answer your question: no, not if your a black man.

Your supreme ignorance is totally baffling. You have such a vast wealth of knowledge at your fingertips yet you choose to completely disregard anything that isn't focused on fucking games. Mentally ill or not, it's downright pathetic.

I had the conversation with a religious girl I know once about if God was real why does he want us to worship him so bad? It's kind of creepy to me. It's like he was bullied at school and he still has fantasies one thousand years later of being the person everyone respects.

If God was real I wouldn't worship some man who demands it. Someone had a do as I say or go to hell mentality before and most people know him as one of the most evil people to have ever walked the earth.

^^See, this is where I think all religions fuck things up; if there really is an omnipotent being out there, why the hell would he/she/it give two fucks about what we think? We put him into this role of a humanoid king sitting on a throne... but how could we possibly have any inkling of what an omnipotent force is really like?
Personally, I do believe in some kind of higher power, I just don't delude myself with the idea that I could ever understand it. I believe in the Lovecraft sensibility: human being are completely ineffectual to the workings of the universe. Most people (even atheists) have this egotistical point of view that we, as a species, are special in some way. I think the idea is hilarious.

No, unless if you consider the 2 great wars as religiously motivated.

We're not special in a "chosen ones" sense, but you simply have to look at what is immediately in front of you at any point during your life and just think to yourself "how the fuck did we even manage to come up with that?"

Egotistical we may well be, but as a species, we've earned the right to be.

Not even talking religion here but we might be the dumbest developed species in the galaxy or universe and least important for all we know. We could be the red headed step children.

We should treat one another as important and living things on Earth. Just might be others out there that think we are to them what a cat is to us intelligence wise.
