Every year I like to listen to this CD of shitty ghost stories told in the thickest New England accent for the lulz.

More importantly than songs, is anyone dressing up? My place of work is encouraging us to do so, except on Friday so we can go drinking after...

No one in the UK really gives much of a shit about Halloween though :( I don't even think we had one trick or treater come to our house last year.

I've got a bunch of small kids in my area so we usually get a few. I noticed supermarkets refusing to sell eggs and flower to anyone under 18. Shows that's what Halloween means to us..

Parties all across Stoke Newington? Really? Are they enjoyable? I don't envy your abundance of trick or treaters though. Well annoying. One year they came in droves and all I had to offer was rich tea biscuits. The look of disappointment each child had on their face when I would give them the biscuits killed a little part of my soul.

No idea, also all bars and a few restaurants are halloween themed at the moment.

Halloween is another one of those holidays that Americans made up as they have terrible attention spans. They seem to need something going on every month to stop themselves going crazy. Over here we just have Christmas and Easter (Which isn't much). None of this bullshit like Thanksgiving and 4th of July.

Halloween originates from pagan beginnings but yet again becomes increasingly more "Americanised". The commercial aspect of this supposed fucking holiday really doesn't sit right with me at all. Fucking "Happy Halloween" cards FFS? Hallmark are obviously getting shafted hard by Moonpig et al. It does seem that this year has been much more a two week celebration of Halloween in comparison to the usual just a days worth of getting dressed up. I guess more people have less to look forward to or keep themselves occupied with in their lives these days. Pathetic cunts.

Yeah I got that vibe too for some reason.
