This is bizzare. Just a few days ago, he was posting behind the scenes pics on his official Facebook page for the new Fast and Furious movie. Now he's dead.

Damn shame. I wanted to work with him one day.

Gotta admit I laughed a little bit when I read it was a car crash.

I find it really sad he seemed like a cool dude. Of course he was the passenger, he would never crash.

So saddening when I read that this morning. It just shows life is precious and you should live each day as your last.

Really horrible way to go out. The car was completely destroyed and in flames.
And he just came back from a charity event too for the typhoon that hit the philippines. His friends, family, people he worked with are devastated right now.

I am very saddened by this news. Its really ironic that out of all the dangerous stunts he has had to do in cars over the years to make the Fast series, this is how he goes... still cant hardly believe it. He played characters I can directly identify with, white american gentlemen bad ass laid back and cool as a fan. More so as his character in Fast and say Takers, some what in Running Scared, those are probably my favorite movies by him. He will be missed, he went far before his time. RIP.

I admit the first think that came to mind was that "I guess walker should have walked". I'm a terrible person 8-[

Such a shame. I grew up watching Paul Walker in Fast and Furious. I still remember going to the first one in theaters 12 years ago. RIP Paul Walker.

This. It's weird, so many people die every day, and we see and hear about it on the news, but sometimes it's not until someone we actually know passes on suddenly without warning, or (as in this case) even if it's just a celebrity we feel we have sort of gotten to know over the years, that things sort of get put into perspective and you remember how blessed you are to still have life and not to waste a second of that life. This is tragic.

EDIT: Bit of a shame you went to follow up your poignant original post with a cheap pun though...

I'm Irish. Its what we do. Hence for us death is a celebration and we get pissed with the body at a wake.

I guess you could say he went out 2 Fast 2 Furious. When asked for an evening drive, he should've been Running Scared.

My sisters boyfriend turns out works in a building right on the street where it happened and he knew the driver. The driver and Paul were 50/50 owners of a aftermarket car part modding company "Always Evolving Performance".
The driver was actually very experienced with both the car and road. Turns out it was just abit of bad luck. Those Porsches are no joke. Rear Wheel drive and Rear Engine. Car was also highly modified ofcourse.

There have been some really unpleasant, sour comments on this thread, shame on you.

Can I just say this: a 40 year old man has died very young, leaving behind a daughter. Whether you liked his work or not, whether you know him or not, that's a horrible story, and a real tragedy.

Rest in peace Paul Walker. I didn't know you, but have enjoyed your films, and I thank you for that. And my utmost respect and condolences to your friends and family on their loss.

Candle in the wind.

Here are some pics from the crash site:
