Think it's more possible it's Luke's rather than Obiwan's.

Nah, it wasn't disputing that she's Luke's; it was saying that Obi-Wan's daughter would have been Rey's mother. Luke would be the father.

If they end up revealing she's not, I'll be really fuckin' disappointed.

Some more on Arndt's draft, which focused more on the new characters than the old: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/12/20/jj ... ce-awakens

Just saw it again tonight. Im no where closer trying to figure out who Rey really is, but I think the story and characters seem more fluid than I initially thought, there is some corny writing from time to time though.

And yeah, the dream sequence thingy that Rey sees is a most curious part of the movie. All I know is she hears screams (of herself as a child im guessing as the shuttle is taking off) and follows it down until the weird stuff starts happening. All I know is that I think Maz Kanata caused something to happen to rey, Maz was explaining vague things about the force before Rey flipped out and said she didnt want the light saber or anything to do with what she saw and ran off into the woods. Something definitely happened at that time that changed Rey, I can definitely say that because after Maz speech basically telling Rey to seek out the force, she starts using force powers.

I'm disappointed I didn't get to enjoy it as much as a lot of people did. There were parts during the movie when I felt bored.

I caved and saw it again two nights ago. I just felt this intense need to see it again for some reason, probably because it IS Star Wars and it has the original cast in it. Plus it's more competent than the prequels, which I never saw more than once.

Yeah. The stuff that bothered me before REALLY bothered me more this time. I also felt more bored this time during certain scenes. Like I just wasn't engaged enough.

Eh. Hope this is all fixed in the next one.

Just so everyone knows: The Star Wars Movie Release Schedule through 2020

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/12/30/st ... ease-dates

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Director: Gareth Edwards
Written by: Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz
Starring: Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, and Alan Tudyk
Logline: Following the foundation of the Galactic Empire, a wayward band of Rebel fighters comes together to carry out a desperate mission: to steal the plans for the Death Star before it can be used to enforce the Emperor’s rule.
Release: Dec. 16, 2016

(So, yes, a long full year. But given we had to wait a decade for The Force Awakens — or, depending on your feelings about the prequels, 32 years since Return of the Jedi — sitting back for just one year doesn’t seem all that bad … Plus, it’s then only about five months until …)

Star Wars: Episode VIII
Written and directed by Rian Johnson
Starring: Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac (reportedly)
Release: May 26, 2017
Logline: Unknown

Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo (working title)
Directors: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller
Written by: Lawrence and Jon Kasdan
Starring: Not yet announced
Logline: How young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
Release: May 25th, 2018

Star Wars: Episode IX
Director: Colin Trevorrow
Writer: Rian Johnson
Starring: Not yet announced
Logline: Unknown
Release: 2019

Star Wars Anthology: Boba Fett
Director: Not yet announced
Writer: Not yet announced
Starring: Not yet announced
Logline: Unknown
Release: 2020 (reportedly)

So if all this goes according to plan, we’ll get five Star Wars films in four years … after getting “only” seven Star Wars films over 38 years. Not bad!

Are you ready for Star Wars to be in your face for the next 5 years at least?!!??!?!??!?!!!
