Yeah we're lucky Britain was an empire strong enough to basically make the rest of the world be able to understand us. Clever of them to future proof it too by making all radio traffic in aviation be based around understanding English too. Kinda surprised that's still a thing since those Empire times were long ago now. Why shouldn't a German pilot be allowed to speak to a German air traffic controller in German? Especially since taxiing about a runway and understanding exactly what the ATC is talking about is incredibly important in a busy airport...

I like the sound of Japanese (lived there for a while), Polish (known quite a few people from there), Swedish and sometimes Chinese.

I don't really like the sound of Korean (lived there for quite a few years). To me it often sounded like everyone was arguing, even when talking normally.
