Just read that.
As cruel as it is to guess, I really fear for a man who has brought so much laughter to my life. Since I was a young boy, listening to my dad's record collection, from the Eagles (RIP Glen) to ACDC etc. But he also had a few of his original stand up gigs from Glasgow pubs and I have roared for 25 years at them. To this day I still listen to them....
Billy Connolly has had a terrible few years, being hit would double cancer. First prostate, which he had removed. After that, Parkinsons. It looks as if it's taken its toll on him, but he's still touring. He has to sit down now and talk slower and softer due to his medication making his balance way off, and getting light headed. He can't smoke cigars or play his banjo anymore, and he has to grip the stool he sits on to stop his left side of his body from trembling. It's a matter of time, and i regret never seeing him live. He's being honoured with an award at the Comedy Awards on ITV on Wednesday night and I would say it will be the last time you see him on TV.
