No joke, ladies and gentlemen! It's official. Mr Axl Rose is the new singer for AC/DC (at least for the current tour) since Brian Johnson decided to quit due to hearing issues. The news update doesn't say anything aboutthe time after the tour so it's not clear right now, if they are planning to record a new album with Axl Rose.

I was gonna go see one of their shows in Germany later this year. I'm not an AC/DC fan but i love some of their songs and had watching one of their shows on my lifetime to do-list because they are undoubtedly one of the greatest bands of all time.
But now, after this happened, I'm actually thinking about selling my ticket and not going. I just can't wrap my head around the idea of watching an AC/DC show with Axl Rose doing the singing. Just seems odd to me. To be fair, I like GnR's 1980's cover version of 'Whole lotta Rosie" but I still do think Axl's singing was not quite as good as Brian's, imho.
Also I always kind of disliked the American accent on an AC/DC song and thought the British/Australian accent worked so much better with their music.
On the other hand this isn't the first time AC/DC have replaced their singer and I think Axl deserves to be given a fair chance here. The pivot from Bon Scott to Brian Johnson worked out incredibly well, so maybe the same thing will happen again.
I don't know what to do right now. I kind of gravitate more towards not going at the moment.
What are your thoughts on Axl Rose joining AC/DC? How do you think it will work out?
