VOLUME I

Thank you for reading "Gee, your name looks like it's spelled correctly!"

In this volume's lesson, we will learn how to spell Michael correctly.

Now, remember: M-I-C-H-A-E-L.

It's never Micheal. That's never correct! Think about it: Micheal? Mick-heel? Where did people learn to spell it this way?

Michael.

Michael.

Michael.

Michael.

Michael.

In the upcoming volumes, we will learn how to spell:

Sonikku
People are always spelling it as Sonniku, and it must be annoying.

Nozomi
People are always spelling it as Nazomi. That is very wrong!

Iwao Hazuki
Remember when a certain someone had a signature banner in which he had the name spelled as Iwoa Hazuki? That's a no-no!

Poeple spell my real name wrong very often :\.

My real name is Win Schutten but the country where I live both are pretty rare names but Wim and Schutte are much more common :\ you see how much confusion that brings,, not to mention have to look over the desk everytime someone at the bank fills in your name to check if they got the name right :\.

I would like to apply for the list. My name is Stuart, and it is often misspelled. For example, "Sturat" -_-

Lets not forget the hordes and hordes of Pheonix mirrors which abound everywhere here.....

Bad misspellings in professional contexts: The Independent guide to what's on in London had a short article about someone who was supposed to have died of, and I quote, "syphallis". I'm so used to reading misspellings on the net that I did a double take before realising that it was in a supplement to a national newspaper, and they damn well ought to know better.

Myles Prower, I didn't know your real name was Stewart......

(Which reminds me:
  • Laurence Olivier
  • Lawrence of Arabia.
)

Nuts to That, your mention of Iwoa reminds me that I'm always tickled that it's far more often spelled Iowa! :D

The Ebon Hawk (which I probably just spelled wrong) in Knights of the old Republic, was once called the "Ethan Hawk" on a message board somewhere! :D Isn't Ethan Hawke he an actor!?
