They talked about a lot more than what was discussed in the interview, stuff he was asked not to publish. Some of it was about Baihu, who David claims is much more than a street fighter. See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=47219&start=15#p1077456
I think he said it for a fact on 500k, so if you want, I can find that post. Baihu is more than the 4th street fighter.

Ah, the nostalgia of discussing this...![]()
Whatever was said about Baihu (and it could have just been that the fanbase theories, e.g. that he was Ziming Hong, were wrong), his role in the series is that of the fourth Kowloon streetfighter after Greg More, Rod Stunt and Chunyan. Permit me to indulge in a little more nostalgia and link to the first topic I posted discussing this:
http://www.shenmuedojo.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12337&p=318582&hilit=frayed#p318582
LanDC also found much more evidence for Baihu's role from unused game files:
http://www.shenmuedojo.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24098&p=561258&hilit=exceeds#p561258
BTW, "Mouko-kouhazan" is just the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese characters in "meng2 hu3 ying4 pa2 shan1" (猛虎硬爬山). As you say, again we can find this move by going back to Virtua Fighter, same as with Lan Di/Lau's twin-palm move used to kill Iwao.
Looking forward to Shenmue III and the end of our long speculations on this series!
