Rumour: SEGA Discusses Shenmue HD

Just found this article on "tssz".

A sega employee discusses the companies future projects. Interestingly, Shenmue 1 HD is mentioned to be released in winter. The second game will follow if it does well.

Remember this is a rumour, so credibility is really 0 at best.

Still if it is true, least it gives us a possible release date.

ha, it probably is. I suppose the only way to prove its validity (to a certain extent) is to see if what he said about the E3 line up is true.

Haha, well we shall see on that. I wont take it until I have finished downloading the game and actually started playing it. Knowing sega they will say they have released it and then when you go to play it you find out its some shocking sonic + mario sports thing....

Never know. I don't doubt the Shenmue I/II XBLA/PSN release, I mean Shenmue I was one of the best selling Dreamcast games and Shenmue II was the most imported. Don't know if I buy the HD remake or not, but I don't doubt they would try to make more money off of the series for a relatively low cost or porting it (them) to the online services.

well they already got virtua fighter, jet set radio, sonic racing 2 and yakuza 5 commin out this year. If they add shenmue, i reckon this will be the most solid line up sega has done since the dreamcast days. Only time will tell.
