Ryo's "What did you say?!" always cracks me up too.

He kind of smiles when his photo is taken with Nozomi. But he smiles after the flash has gone =P
But apart from that I can't remember any occassion he's smiled lol. I'm re-playing S1 currently though so I'll keep an eye out.
Notice in Shenmue 2 he's smiling whenever you talk to Izumi o.o

Another funny moment is Ryo's voice when the biker gang in Game You says "I heard from the tattoo artist. You had no intention of joining our gang did you?"
When Ryo says "Nope" it jsut sounds funny...

I love it when there's really bad grammer in conversations, it's always hilarious to me.
That "shut the hell up" guy at Nagai Industries also cracks me up because he says it for no apparant reason.
There are a lot of funny moments in Shenmue, but there's too many to remember.

It's funny because he says "Nope" so calmly and casually :lol:

Talk to Yamagishi when looking for a tattoo parlor as well, the conversation is pretty funny.
Oh, and Eri "Is that where they use one of those big needles? Ewwwwwww....it hurts just thinking about it!" :lol:

And the convo with Hirata-san is also funny:
Ryo: Do you know of a tattoo parlor?
Hirata-san: Huh? Tatt? You're not old enough to buy cigarettes!
Ryo: Huh?
Hirata-san: I don't have any of those foreign cigarettes.
Ryo: No, I said tattoo :lol:

Another funny thing is the fact that Ryo trusts that black sailor about Terry, when that's the same guy who led him into danger in the parking lot.
