By the way, Ryo's line when he won one of the yukawa figures sounded so hilarious!

"Yes! I won! A Mr. Yukawa figure!"

He really said it with joy in the voice!

Lol, yeah. It sounds almost like he's laughing when he says it. Like, when Corey Marshall was reading that line, he found it funny for some reason.

Hmm, Mr. Yukawa runs away from Ryo in What's Shenmue too. Why is he so damn scared of Ryo? :lol:

Anyway, I really gotta start a new game of Shenmue soon, so I can try this out.

Ahh! I hate Setsu Abe, and I hate the abe store! I've tried and tried and can't get better than a 4 for the prize at the abe store...is there a timing trick? Kind of like the "5th swoosh" (Which doesn't seem to work very often) trick for the TMC?

I'm almost out of yen too, and its like the 7th or 8th of December. I think I'm going to wait until January. Can you spend the money you get from the bank account and from Fuku-san, before you buy the ticket to Hong Kong? Because once you get the job, you don't have much time to go places. I think by the time I get back from work, the Abe store might be closed...

I need more yen!!!

I do it on the 3rd or 4th swoosh and have pretty good luck...There's also a gameshark cheat for unlimited money if you have a gameshark...

No gameshark, and even if I did I probably wouldn't cheat. The farthest I go is if its the beginning of a day, and I go to the Abe store and waste all my money, I turn it off.

But can you pull it up on the 3rd or 4th swoosh? I dont think the a buttion icon is there yet. Or do you mean after the icon goes up, to count to four swooshes?

Yea, once the icon shows up...I haven't played Shenmue 1 for quite a while, so I could be wrong. I'd check the Secrets FAQ on GameFAQs...I'm pretty sure that's where I learned the trick in the first place.
