Shenmue Dojo

i have an idiot guestion.i just start playing shenmue 1.i went to the dojo and spoke with fukusan he told me that wherever i want i can spar with him.well i can not understand how can i cause every time i spoke with him he only tells me to come home by 11 and all this staff.please help me and sorry for my English ;)

You can only spar with fuku san at certain points in the game, I have no idea why. If you're still on disk one, then there will be a cutscene coming up where you spar with fuku san.

Every morning, go into the dojo first thing. You'll spar with him if you make that the first thing you do in the morning, as early as humanly possible. It'll work I think every time.

thought you can only do that after a certain point of the game

I know for a fact that one the first day of Disk 3 when you are suppossed to go to the Harbour to find a job/ meet goro DONT GO and you can keep playing day in day out without continuing the story and you can spar with fuku every morning.

After you save the little boy from Charlie, the cutscene for the Chinese letter and sparing everyday should be coming up shortly. Probably the next morning.

I'm wondering this too as I can almost never spar with him despite having played the game at least 5 or 6 times

but I mean it seriously. I'm already near end of disc 1 and all the faqs say and here too that after he learns you the pit blow you can spar him every morning. well not in my game
