The best Shenmue collection ever? (56k? might be bad 4u)

Postby Shenmue4Life » Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:34 pm

My first post, so I have yet to browse the site for others. Here is a fine collection I own of the Shenmue releases on the Dreamcast w/ 1 on the XBOX. If anyone has one I am missing, or a better collection, feel free to post! Sorry, but they were taken at a friends house with my cell phone's crappy "1.3MP" camera, I beg to differ. If requested I can post some with a better camera.

This is the entire collection I have of just the games:
First Column: Shenmue (Jap), Shenmue (US), Shenmue LE (US)
Second Column: US Shenmue (Jap), Shenmue (EU), Shenmue II (EU)
Third Column: Shenmue II (Jap), Shenmue II (US) Xbox

This is the collection of the US only releases:

This is the collection of the Japanese only releases:

This is the collection of the European only releases:

and finally, all of the discs separated into their sections, 32 in total:

wow....very nice, and expensive I can imagine... I would like to know where he got the white label release though as I know in pre-DC production it was being designed for the Saturn which had...well, 2d in a 3d world graphics.

I wonder what it is. I also wonder if he's making the most of his living in Japan now
(and having a Japanese girlfriend) to make his collection even more gorgeous. ;)

It doesn't look like a promo/beta version. Bootleg or self-burnt version, possibly?

Yes, that looks like the cover designed by David Mackenzie (Lyris). I've been looking for just the right paper to use, so I haven't printed it out myself. It's very high quality and professional.

Unfortunately, that means you've got a bootleg there, Shenmue4Life. But at least it has a nice cover.

SSJ2, no no, that one isnt mine...I was wondering which one it was as it had the black left border hinting at NTSC/US with a Shenmue II image which would be NTSC/J. All of mine are at the top, all legit/original. I am interested as to how to acquire the white label pre-releases, if anyone has for sale, let me know!

Hiii
Im the Axm Ryudo is creaming his pants over. :)
I like your collection. It looks like mine back in 2002 when I still had money to blow.
Yeah I live in Japan. I've draged my Japanese girlfriend into Shenmue aswell. She likes it just fine. Which is enough for my approval of her. ;) Although if I mention it without reason sometimes she just fills her cheaks up with air in a aggitated yet sarcastic manner.
My collections current state is pretty much the same as you saw above. Although ive added a few things like second or third copies of versions ive found here in Japan in un-opened condition.
I've got pretty much everything but the orange covered "Whats Shenmue" and the official Shenmue Timex watch(which I belive was last seen on ebay for $600)
Im pretty satisfied with what I have and its not a big priority anymore to me to obtain everything so ive stoped where I am and dont plan on getting those 2 things unless someone wants to buy it for me :D <3

^ Well its nice to see you here and that you still hold Shenmue in high regard - AND - that you've managed to get your girlfriend interested in the series!

I'd love to live in Japan myself one day - I keep saying it but I never end up doing it. You're lucky in having a Japanese girlfriend. Japanese women are so incredibly pretty!
