Can you view thing on the PASSPORT DISC with out going ONLINE? :lol:

You can do a couple of things like listen to music and view videos from your completed shenmue 1 game. Theres not really that much to do.

Do you mean the features on the disc or the online features?

I think Lan DC said that the layout is still there and a few pages or something that must be built into the disc. Dunno if you have to be online to view them though.

But for the features that are actually on the passport disc for you to view are movie sequences, including some pretty good trailers for the game and a few previews...

There's also a section with 32 music tracks, which is pretty cool.

And also you can view characters speech's on the different elements of the game...

i tried it...the characters are all good graphics and stuff.....thats how I want number 3 to be.

The online part is available offline (it's in the disc), but only a part of it. Those pages about the locations, etc, are there, but ... unfortunately, they decided to force the program to go online on every page load if it isn't online.

I have been able to trick the passport once into thinking it was connected. I got to browse the pages!! Though I have not been able to reproduce this... Sad. Maybe if someone can crack that disc, they can copy the pages and put them online somewhere.

No no, i dont think so. The info for characters, etc came from whatever was holding it up online. So to sum it up, no, it's not possible. you can still use the passport, but character info wont show, and you cant participate in the rankings.
