Shenmue Translation

Hi,

a while ago i read something about a Sourceforge project to translate Shenmue (i think 1 and 2) now that i have plenty of time because of my holidays i would like to translate Shenmue to german, can someone provide me some information about how and where to do it? Im not that good with programing nor do i have a clue how to work on GD files.

Hi Mel0ne, I'm Shendream of Shenmue Master http://shenmueangel.free.fr/ a french site of Shenmue's fans, we programmed the tools to translate both Shenmue ( with Manic ) so if you need explanations contact me by PM. I'll give you my msn.

Shen Dream pointed out to me that there are instructions on how to use the Sourceforge file in the download

It's great to see the languages the game is being translated to!

Any news from the people who have projects translating it in to Norwegian, Spanish, and Portugese?

Whos Shenmaster? u mean Shendreams? yes we added in msn but hes very busy atm so i guess i'll have to wait a little bit.

Hi!
I'm sorry that I have to bump this but I don't want to make a new thread for that and I don't really know where to post this.

I also want to translate Shenmue to german and I already have the stuff that I need to do so but I don't know how to start and how I get the data that I need form the disc image.
It would be nice if someone could send me a PM and give me a step by step guide on how to change the subtitles of the intro for example. Then I would know how to do it and could start this project.

I already sent Shendream a PM where I asked for help a few days ago but since I recieved no answer so far I thought that it would be good to ask in the forums as well since I really want to start a translation project.
It been years that I dreamed of the possiblity to do this.

I hope someone can help me with this. ;)

what about working together, i think its very useless if we translate it simultaniously and have 2 versions in the end, message me over icq or msn (429186804 or [email protected])
