Shenmue Dojo

Is there a version of Shenmue I that has Japanese voices and english subs? I'm thinking about buying the PAL import of Shenmue II for dreamcast. Would be cool to play through both with Japanese voices and english subs but I can't find a version of Shenmue I that seems to fit those reqs.

No but there is one that has english voices and japanese subs.

I have seen that someone has made an english dubbed version of shenmue II pal. Could somebody please do the same with shenmue I and change the voices to japanese? We could call it the shenmue dojo edition. Change the drink machines to coke ones aswell.

Changing the drink machines would mean making completely new textures for the game to process. Not worth the effort even if it worked 100% right..

The coke textures were already used in the japanese version of shenmue.

It'll be such a nice idea to have Shenmue I that has Japanese voices and english subs. To learn Japanese!

I've been trying to get people to make this proposed version of Shenmue I for years now.

Its difficult because the American and European builds of Shenmue I are incredibly different from the Japanese build.

In this case, the basic problem is that the audio files are completely different.

Its going to take some skills to get it to work.
