There are assholes out there that have automated programs to purposely bid at the last second.

I have been bitten in the last second too, on a set of rare books and a rare computer game.

You can hire people to bid for you too.

Oh jeez that was me, I didn't realise it was someone here I was bidding against. If you're happy with paying the winning bid and shipping I'll send it to you when it arrives.

The doll is actually a pretty reasonable price, for the price it sometimes goes at. And thanks for the offer Bambi, but you won it fair and square, at least it's going to a true fan and not some money grabber.

Between $30-$50. The ones on there priced $80 and above are just robbing people.

I wonder if Bambi or another dojo person is the high bidder.

The guide is nice but I actually didn't bid on it.

When it comes to eBay I only make 1 bid per auction, I take some time, decide what I'm prepared to pay for a given item and submit that as a bid in the last 2 seconds of the auction ending.

It means I don't get caught up in the heat of a bidding war and end up paying more than I really wanted.

I'm trying not to bid on anything at all for a long while with two exceptions. Chrono Cross Poster or Radical Dreamers Music Box (assuming they're reasonable priced which the music box won't be). I sometimes find myself buying something that I "have" to have only to feel remorse later. As long as I have these restrictions, I won't feel bad bidding on these two items because I've wanted them for so long. Anything else, no matter how cool it is, is off limits.
