Finally, we have on the boards the voice behind our hero Ryo Hazuki, Corey Marshall!!


His username is coreymarshall and will try to call in when he can to answer any of the questions that you guys have had over the past 10 years. Due to a hectic work/family lifestyle, please understand that Corey may not be able to get back to you right away, but no doubt will try his best to get online when he can. Once again, questions do not have to be Shenmue specific, with Corey also appearing in movies and recently, a music video for the hit Rock group, My Chemical Romance. He is currently working on an online comic, and is married with one baby girl.

How did Sega discribe Ruy Hazuki´s mentality? I guess your voice job include allot of info about whats happening inside ryo´s head all the time? Maybe there is variables that players dont regognice in the game?

was Shenmue your most uncommon Voice acting ever? I mean it's probably rather odd that you get picked for performing martial arts if it's about a voice over. In Japan it's common that voice actors from games or anime also do much public relation work and are usually presented like movie stars. Did anything similar happen to you or did you feel you don't get the deserved attention after doing the Shenmue voice over?

But seriously Corey, first of all, it's an honor to be able to speak with you here on the dojo, as I've probably spent more time playing shenmue than any other video game. Anyway, my question is assuming you've played through the games... Were there any situations or scenes that you recorded that take place after the events of Shenmue 1 and 2?
