3 - 4 hours of gameplay?

How about we focus on creating a solid prototype showing character movement / physics integration before we jump headfirst into story writing and creating an epic masterpiece that's sure to never be finished.

Building blocks, gentlemen. Let's not get ahead of ourselves..

Well, I'm happy that someone thought to make a Hazuki-like room in Cryengine.

Sure it could use some detail, but it's the thought that counts right?

I know nothing about 3D modeling, but I do know Photoshop inside-out. If there's a production need for that let me know.

would you be able to work on shenmue textures to make them look not so low res?

Sure, I'd be happy to give it a try. I often have an active Shutterstock account, so I can easily grab all sorts of hi-res textures from there.

that would be great, when mittz makes the topic I'll upload the textures required, I'll let you be the judge of what you want to replace or update

well for example if you could make this bigger while making it look less pixelated (this texture isn't really needed but it's one of the few shenmue textures I have right now)

This is a very quick sample. I would spend more time looking for a texture closer to the original and doing more detail work in the shadowed areas, but hopefully it gives you the idea.

The image looks pretty big here- the board seems to upscale images for some reason but it's 512x512.

If you guys need voices let me know. I can do anything from a kid to a old lady so deep to rough to jim bob or gollum and more.

looks good but not much like a road anymore to me :-k let me make a quick model incorporating other shenmue textures to see if it blends in

Ah, it's a road. That might help in narrowing down the image search. I don't have the ability to make it look exactly the same, but I can get it closer with more work. Gotta get back to work now, but I'll send another image in the next day or so.
