Wouldn't recommend stopping by Glamorous Jewelers. Was insulted immediately for not wearing store appropriate attire, and the lady working the desk made me feel like a common street performer.

If you notice the place while you're playing, just keep walking.

Guixiang Lee says there are other Chawan Sign patterns that could be dangerous. You can make 81 combinations with the four cups (3 possible positions and 4 cups, 3^4 = 81). There is one pattern already known, so there are other 80 combinations. Therefore, if you multiply 80 with the number of the available shops to make a sign, you will find a big number of how many combinations/tries you need to make/do to trigger ...something else and dangerous? If there's something else... which is doubtful. It seems her words are just an embellishment. Dangerous things happen even with the right Chawan Sign pattern, anyway.

Yea, I'm inclined to believe she's talking nonsense, but there a problem with this assumption, and that is Yu Suzuki made these games.

That shouldn't be taken lightly, you bump over a NPC in a QTE by accident, and they remember you did so, the duck racing, and even more of a pain to do, Fangmei's birthday quest thing(how anyone ever even found how to do this+everything that is needed for the special Fangmei scene, is baffling to say the least), ect.

Anyone who goes to the extent that Yu does, is definitely not above making us try the other 80 combinations in like who knows maybe a dozen different places or so, just to trigger a secret event lol.

Cool, It's always awesome seeing new people getting into the series.

Is it me or does it seem like everyone screws up the first scenario with the cat the first time lol.

Do you notice something strange in this image?

Image

Shocking truth! (figuratively speaking...) Fuku-san stole Ryo's hands to use during his performance!
For some reason, the developers chose to do that. Maybe to save on resources for the basement's data.

^^ that looks the 'okay' sign on his left hand, and if so, it could mean one of two things from my standpoint: (imo based on my observations of media and entertainment culture.)
1, it's as you say, devs just being bone-idle, slackarse and lazy.
or... :???:
2, a shout-out to the REAL moneymen, the powers that be (behind the scenes, the untouchables that pull the global politic strings) that decide what we, the masses do, watch, play and eat, and who really qualifies in their eyes as 'talented'...
like, how elections are a fraud, and we're permitted to lend our strength (as talking goy/animals we are deemed as) to the puppet they selected to proxy for them.
...
i'm leaning on outlook two.
could be wrong, well and truly known to be. :P

Woah! Nice catch :).

Looking at the image again, Fuku-san is in a really strange, unnatural position - not only does it look as if he's way too far back for those hands to belong to him, but it really looks as if he's sitting on Ryo's back while he's stretched out on the floor or something

I can never un-see this now :P

Very well spotted. I had to look quite a while at the screenshot to see the tiny visible bit of Ryo's jacket on the arm.
The pose does look awkward when you look at it for this long.
