I thought Shenmue made the final already? I'm ahead of myself. Glad to see it off to an early lead..

Trouble is, this round (and the next) lasts for 48 hours, not the usual 24. That's a long time to maintain our traditional early lead. This is gonna be tough. We need ALL outlets promoting this poll.

The opponent this time is not Link but Mario, so it will be even harder for Shenmue to win. Furthermore, some avid Shenmue-haters in the Maniac forum vowed to do everything to kick Shenmue out. Therefore, we will have to go to war, I guess :king: Let's vote Shenmue to victory.

Stick the link to the poll on the banner! But yeah this will be tough. I'd say OoT was arguably the strongest opponent in the whole tournament, but the extra day of voting plus the significant rage Shenmue's recent victory seems to have provoked in the salty members of that site, means this will be probably be a very stiff challenge. As LGS said, all outlets need to be firing on all cylinders for this.

Really? Where did you read that? Anyways Shenmue currently has a massive lead at 72%! The biggest I've seen yet.

Bryan at Shenmue500K got it from the magazine's Facebook page I believe. He's been keeping a close eye on those kind of details.

Shenmue's lead right now is impressive but it's shrunk quite a lot from the 81% it was a few hours ago.

A great lead so far - let's hope it lasts!

Even to get this far along is a great sign for Shenmue, so wherever it finishes is a bonus as far as I'm concerned... (although it would be amazing if it won, of course).

Gotta to love Shenmue, sticks out of every collection of all games as "THE GAME" you played once (or twice or thrice). Which i also still remember almost clearly today. On top of that with an ending that haunts us till today.

p.s. the other games have also their support groups outside of their "magazine range"
- just shows that Shenmue has more dedicated passionate people on their side

Thanks you for all your support  and please continue. :-)

Surely not? I thought fans of other games were far too honorable to invite non-members to vote in the polls. Because it's not like the magazine's doing all this to attract new interest or anything. It's just putting in this amount of effort out of idle curiosity about which game is best.

Exactly you got the point.

It would be a "members-only" voting if they weren't interested in gathering (potential interest) attention for their site/mag from everywhere they can - by doing some fun voting with partially really weird rooster."*
(Got recently attracted to their site myself, also to this one). *Its still taken pretty seriously (wouldn't be fun if not).

Voted!

And just once, mind you; but it's a singularly mighty vote.

The early lead continues to dwindle. It's already down to 65%.
However the percentage isn't the whole picture. If you look at the numbers then it looks totally different.
Shenmue is 540 votes in the lead. It has almost twice the amout of what SMW has!

There are still almost 25 thrilling hours ahead of us, let's hope the lead can be held up long enough.
