Hey everyone,

Last week I went on a little trip to Dobuita. Thought you may enjoy some of the pics I took, especially Tom's snack, the famed Yokosuka Burger and a very familiar staircase.

I also did a little write-up on my blog: http://blog.oyatsucafe.com/dobuita-street/

If you have any questions about the area feel free to ask here.

Nice blog. Are you the sole author of the entries on that site?

LOL! That guy on the sign in the right corner of the restaurant picture just looks like he's enjoying his meal. Yup, that must be Dobuita.

Cool pictures. I was there about a year ago. Now I like like 2 hours away! But I like how they change the donuts street flags every year. Personally I'm not a fan of the area. It's a bit boring and the military guys who are stationed in the area make it so foreigners who visit the area aren't looked at as kindly. There are sailors just like Shenmue, but instead of 4 or 5 there are about 50 of them that walk the streets drunk at night causing trouble.

Strange how such a mundane, everyday area can look so damn beautiful given the right perspective.

The holy pilgrimage.

Once you have walked the hallowed streets of Yokosuka, you are permitted to enter Shenmue heaven.
