Shenmue Synopsis

As there are hardly any online synopsis that tells the plot of Shenmue in detail, I have written a detailed synopsis for Shenmue 1 & 2 for ppl who are new to Shenmue. Hope this will help the series reach out to more ppl.

A huge thanks to johnvivant, Kobe, and all of you for your encouraging words and time spent to read through these synopsis I really hope there are other prominent and accessible channels to post these synopsis so as to engage more ppl to read them e.g putting them on the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter page. What do you guys think?

Hi, thanks for the comments Shenmue is simply my favourite video game of all time and I never get tired of watching the story even after multiple playback. Back in 2006, I have originally intended to write a novel version of Shenmue 1 & 2 but felt that it was too time consuming and no one would care to read it in the end. It was only recently that a few of my friends started asking me about the story in a spur of curiosity, thus I decided to write these synopsis thinking there might be like-minded ppl online.

Deep down, I believe ppl who are interested in a good story will like Shenmue, however, it's getting them to read it in the first place that seems to be the hard part...lol
