Suggestions for On Going Shenmue Tattoo

So I've always wanted a shenmue tattoo and I started work on it this past weekend. When all's said and done it's going to be a huge piece. The tattoo is not using artwork from the game but instead just ideas from the game that my artist is drawing up - just to keep it original.

This past weekend I got a Phoenix tattooed on my left shoulder/chest/bicep , it's a pretty big piece in traditional style. It also has a few cherry blossoms around it. The tattoo will be finished next week so I'll post a picture then. We are also going to tattoo in a tree behind the phoenix with the trunk of the tree being the width of my bicep and having the chinese shenmue logo on it.

My right shoulder/chest/bicep will be a dragon, and I was thinking of cliffs & watterfalls as a back drop much like the tree to the opposite side.

I then want to attach tattoo vines to both the phoenix and dragon and have it go across the collar bone with a saying in the middle of it the width of my chest. I don't know what I want that saying to be yet, obviously something from the game but something I can relate to in my life. I was thinking of "A pitch black night unfolds with the morning star as its only light" but that only sounds cool and has no real meaning. Can you guys suggest other sayings of proverbs from the game to help me fill in this part?

An eagle, three stars, three rivers, a boat, a phrase like "Pride in Battle" (maybe in latin?), with lots of blues as well. I'd explain why it's relevant to Shenmue, but don't wanna leak any spoilers.
