I would imagine that with two or more domains registered that Sega will actually move forward with it. The simple reason being that having ownership of domains costs money. Not much... but some and Sega is so cheap that I don't see them wasting money when they know they aren't going to move forward with it.

Ehhhh, domain names are pretty cheap so I'm not sure the fact they had to spend money is a smoking gun here.

According to SEGAbits they also own sonicstoplookingthroughoururls.com, so clearly there's enough money to burn on a goof like that.

So, apparently the domains were registered not recently, but instead back when Sega of Europe was saying the games had their "full attention," but that they couldn't proceed due to various rights issues.

So, this isn't really a new thing, and could just be them covering bases. So, again, let's not get too excited. But it is at least something.

I'm not reading anything into Cedric promoting Shenmue HD, but it's nice to see one of the big names backing Shenmue III putting some pressure on Sega. He has more influence than I do, so I appreciate his efforts.

I'm not reading anything into Cedric promoting Shenmue HD, but it's nice to see one of the big names backing Shenmue III putting some pressure on Sega. He has more influence than I do, so I appreciate his efforts.

Cedric's tweet actually makes me nervous more than anything. If the project was already green lit or close to announcement you wouldn't think he'd be asking fans to pressure sega, unless they're keeping him/yu in the dark about it? Or unless he's trying to give the false impression it isn't a certainty already to make it more exciting once it gets announced.

Some press outlets asked Sega for comment so hoping we get anything material from that.
