Went to the MJQ jazz bar yesterday. Just wanted to ask this guy if he's a sailor or not. He somehow got me into accepting a bet and i lost. 1000 Yen gone for his Bourbon! I walked out in shame but being a bit wiser.

As I mentioned in my other post, I want to get back into 3D modelling. I'm going to use the tutorials here to extract the Hazuki Dojo and then try and build up my own from scratch. (No reason just to test my own skills.) Your work is making me want Shenmue 3 again!! lol

Nice, even though I I know which bar to go in for the sailors, I always go in there for that 1 shot and never pot it :(.

Did you do this max?

If you have used max, Can i ask you which renderer (scanline line, mental ray?) you used, and what kind of light you put (daylight? ski light? omni area? ....).

No, never liked max. Scene was rendered in Vue 6 infinite. All models/textures original, only deleted some of the "fake caustics" from the lamp and added custom spot lights, a point light, swapped the glass materials, turned neon sign into an area light and made the bottle material a bit transparent, all done in vue. Used a radiosity lighting model in vue.
