about passport model, sadly i lost the model i was working on in my previous screenshots and i had to start all over...
it's still incomplete, but here it is:

i had to rush on it, it still have few missing polys inside his nostrils, and ears teeth and mouth are still a mess. also hairs model is deformed (it's not noticeable anyway)

Yup. In my opinion, model is perfect.
My computer use Vista and it's bad to rig the model so I have to use the old computer at the office. I'm not able to try anything at the moment because the RAM is very very very low but I know sombody that can help me.

For the passport head, I can try to rebuild them using Zmodeler (easier for me) but it's the same shit... My pc use Vista and I have problems when I convert the file or try to save it :-k

Finally Passport Ryo and Passport Nozomi in one picture. Well she could need some more polygon smoothing, eh?


About the models: Passport Ryo is looking definitely great, only part that had major glitches is Ryos jacket.

The Ryo head was kinda glitched i think, i could not open the 3ds, although it loaded it only came up with glibberish.

cool!

here i've saved them again, but twice. in 3ds and obj, at least one of them should work!
i've added a third model this time: passport head+in game body with hipolyhands :p

she is already uploaded somewhere? i would like to give a look. i can see she have lowpoly hands in that picture, maybe i can rip female hipoly hands for her!

Well i ripped her directly from the passport disc in nullDC. From that scene when you try to dial in and shes in the middle of the screen. Means her back and feet are missing. Ah well still more than her "talking head". As its so terribly incomplete and only qualifies for this one angle i reffrained from uploading such an incomplete model.

I opened the first file that Yfrid uploaded.

The model is very cool but I tried to open passport head with 3DS and ZModeler and it doesn't work.
I'm gonna take a look at the 3rd file :) (edit: Tried! Ryo with passport head + body + hands is even more awesome than the others)
I want to try to rig it but I think legs will give some problem 'cause they the 3Ds read them as one poly group.

GOOD JOB AGAIN YFRID.

Just a question; witch version of 3ds do you use? I can't load the tshirt and jeans textures. I think it's cause of my old 3ds version :P

i just realized it doesn't load the texture because when i export in 3ds format, MilkShape cuts the name of materials if it is too long,
the texture is called "ryobottom" but in your 3d editor you can see the missing texture is called "ryobotto" it cutted the name because is longer than 8 characters (why this stupid limitation?), just rename the texture and delete the "m" in the end, it should load the model with all textures now :p

about groups, i've simply regrouped the model by textures.
that's why legs, pubes and chest are one single group for example, because all of them share the same texture

When I open the 3ds and obj in 3ds max and milkshape they only shows a few polygons, what the fudge?

Im gonna add the passport head (or possibly just hair)to the 2010 sega all stars Ryo

Seriously, I can't believe that I have a SO AWESOME model to use on 3d :D

I need to ask you one more thing about textures. I can't load the next ones:

3Ds charge them correctly without any message of error but I can't see them in the render.

Anybody knows why's that?

i wonder why my exported models gives so much issues on yours softwares...

ReeceKun wich version of milkshape do you have? i have both 1.7.0 and 1.8.4, i could try to upload them in MS3D format, it MUST work properly this time :mad:
if then it works fine, could you try to export them in others formats for the others members?

talking about models, someone have a savestate near the ending in shenmue II?
i would like to rip lan-di when he's grabbed to the elicopter
