This game really does look gorgeous in HD. What the fuck is wrong with SEGA? Release it already, or just give it to another company. They clearly have no desire to do anything with the series. The same is true for most of their other franchises.

If only Shenmue belonged to a competent business.

I couldn't agree more. When I saw all those Dreamcast games show up on Steam like 2 years ago, I couldn't believe some of the games they chose to release instead of Shenmue. Not that the games were bad or anything, but I don't recall any massive outcry from fans for a re-release of Space Channel 5 or Bass Fishing lol.

It's actually gotten to the point of insulting that they ignore requests to even re-release the games like they have with other titles. Fans can "HD-ify" other old games in amazing ways so I'm sure it wouldn't be a big thing for a large game dev to redo some textures and make it run on Windows and other formats.

As for the third game, I would say they should throw Sonic Team and AM2/3 behind it and give them what they need to make it the best game imaginable. If they released it a year or so after releasing 1 and 2 in HD it would be huge.

Theres me talking about SEGA being an incompetent company. Guess what?, they have just recently announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 in the west has been delayed. I'm pretty sure we can expect the title to either be cancelled or encounter a massive delay like Persona 4 Arena in Europe.
