Nobody will probably give a damn around this place, but, what the hell.

SegaSaturno.com and Traducciones del Tío Víctor have released the first version of the Spanish translation for Shenmue I.

We've covered a 100% of the subtitles and a 70-80% of the menus that were English-only, plus we translated the maps, we've restored the original Coca-Cola cans, and we even dubbed into Spanish (Spain) as well as Spanish (Latin America) the Shenhua's demo scene and the Hong Kong departure ending.

A big thanks to Sizious for his Shenmue tools. The people behind this project are Ryo Suzuki, el_capo, xulikotony, PacoChan, ShenmueTrad, Sizious, FamilyGuy & IlDucci.

I like the dub in the video. I wish the whole game could be like that.

I don't speak Spanish but it's nice to know that those who do will be able to enjoy Shenmue. Thanks for all of your hard work :)

there are some pessimists but most of us know how to appreciate a good effort ;)

I'm amazed by how quick you did it though, the french team have been working on it since ages and I'm not even sure if they have finished it yet

Nice work, i tried to make an arabic translation, but the tools were incompatible, and i wasn't really serious so the result was awful :lol:

That is cool. Shenmue is a great game. I am happy to see that people want more and more other countries gaining the ability to play this game.

Don't worry. A good amount of us here still have Shenmue flowing in our blood.

I'm not insulting the Arabic language, but it does look like a bunch of squiggles a 2 year old drew there.

Here I am, once again, but this time with a different Shenmue: We're translating Shenmue II into Spanish. Or more like, we already have: All the subtitles are in Spanish (We're in the proofreading and testing process right now), but that's the largest part cleared.

This time the perpetrators are PASE, TheFireRed, el_capo, auron_roxas, xulikotony, Viola Rose, PacoChan, Viento and myself. Again, thanks to Manic, Sizious and Ayla.

Hmm... Looks really well done. It's great to know that you guys have done all this work in spanish. Just i really hoped the translation you made was in "neutral" spanish. You know, for people in Spain but of course also for the ones in Latin America.
