Minecraft players must be the most bored people in the world.
Just kidding  they've got amazing skills to do things like these.

Haha! Innit. But yeah, they do have good skills to be able to do this kinda shit... I mean, can the human body even take such a lack of sunlight?

Says the guy who's locked himself in his room since Saturday...

A friend recently showed me his custom world in Minecraft. He build himself a MASSIVE cabin/mansion with a dog kettle, horse stable, and more from scratch.

Of course that was the only game he played for awhile and he used all that time to create stuff like that. It looked really cool, too bad I don't have the time to do stuff like that.

Innit. I've always wanted to give Minecraft a proper try (only played the XBLA demo), but I'd really need something beyond just building. I love doin that kinda shit in RTS games like Age of Empires (although I tend to spend so long bulking up my empire that by the time I go to war with someone, they've already obliterated eachother), but yeah, I'd need some actual gameplay in there too. Otherwise it's like:

"Hey, look what I've done!"
"That's pretty good that. So what're you gonna do with it?"
"Well, I'll probably build a moat around it and a bridge."
"Cool. Then what?"
"Dunno, probably kit out the interior."
"Sorted. So then what?"
"Well, I'll just go n mine more shit to build more."
"So what are you gonna use this all for?"
"Showing it off to people."
"Riiight..."

Kinda like an expensive colouring in book for gamers.

My buddy tried to bore me with showing off his custom minecraft world at the weekend. I guess I am just too old to be fascinated about his automatic doors in minecraft...

I convinced a minecraft player to go in to 3d modelling before, why settle for shitty pixelated blocks when you can have limitless options with a modelling program instead? well that has always been my reason to not play it
