If anyone could show me the way to converting this for use with GDEMU i'd be very grateful.

I have tried extracting the data with isobuster and building a gdi but haven't gotten anywhere as i can't find much information on mds/mdf in relation to dreamcast.

BTW, there is any undub version of shenmue 2? Just to play Shenmue 2 for DC with Yuan male voice

I can't get any of the discs to boot, they aren't even being detected by the gdemu (please insert disc).
Additionally i tried booting them in demul, just selecting any of them will make it crash, none of the common tools for gdi manipulation seem to be able to work with them.

I appreciate your effort though.

I booted up disc 2 of the GDI version with no issue last night. I'll check again tonight

With demul, forgot to mention it.

Though it's possible I was booting up the old 99min versions because it was very late.

Seems like the GDIs you uploaded first were all missing track01 and track02, these new ones have them.

Both discs boot fine on gdemu and demul, CDDA works too.

your newly uploaded disc 2 GDI boots too, i guess it is time to start a playthrough and see what happens.

Thank you so much for fixing this! I was currently on disc 2 and was having to use the Smith disc. I appreciate the smith disc, but as I speak a fair amount of Japanese the incorrect dialogs during freeroam was driving me crazy.

Will we be seeing an 80min CD-R version uploaded also?

BTW, I burned the 99min CD-R version the other day also. I used the discs from this Japanese site:

The disc loads and at first seems fine. But then I noticed that none of the NPCs are anywhere to be found on the streets. Sometimes I could get them to show up, but the world is just empty as I walk around. Is these just bad CDs? I burned them at a speed of 8X on an old computer at work. Any ideas?

I've burned and played through the first disc of the 99min version - no problems at all. I've burned discs 2 and 3 of the 99min version using the same settings and the same blank discs but they won't even boot on 2 different Dreamcasts - just gives me the "Insert game disc" pop-up.

Ok so I reburned the 99 min version of CD 2, this time at 4X using an old computer at work. Seems to be working perfect now! I love this version.

I have some extra 99min CD-Rs. I was wondering perhaps I could send some out to people who have trouble finding them, or dont want to pay the high prices that it costs to order these usually, or dont have access to a slow burning CD burner. Anyone interested in this?

One day I hope to get the USB drive replacement so I can play any version of Shenmue 1and2 I desire with quicker loading and my choice of speech. I prefer the JP speech of course, but the English Ryo really has his charm.

I really hope we can see a proper 99min Shenmue 2 English dub.

Using the GDI version on GDEMU i am now well into disc 2 and have yet to experience a crash.
The dream sequence after the first encounter with Chai went fine too, i think this is the one that used to be problematic.

There is the occasional untranslated line but they are far and few between and their meaning can very easily be derived from context and understanding some basic japanese words.

This is the best way to experience Shenmue by far, however charming the english dub may be.
