Shenmue Dojo

I decided to make a new topic for this project as it's quite massive and will be running for I while.

I took on the task to create a video tour through all the buildings in Kowloon. All of the rooms that can be entered will be shown and all the locked doors and rooms where someone is inside are going to be included aswell. I'll try to leave as much traveling through the hallways and staircases in there (as long as it doesn't get too time consuming) to give a complete experience of the building.

First in line is the Great View Building. It's the smallest building by far and a good thing to start with.


The Thousand White Building is quite high with it's 12 floors but they don't have much rooms.
Nevertheless there are quite a bunch of interesting things to find here.


Since the following buildings will have much more complex floors I might resort to releasing their videos in sepereate parts, so the videos don't get overly long. Just stay tuned for more. I'm gonna keep em coming steadly.

Speaking about Kowloon building's rooms. I think I have a guide that say what's inside ALL buildings. The problem is that it's all in japanese.

Two new buildings to discover. They can only go together.

The building best known for it's annoying plank crossing and eerie music. Besides that it doesn't really have anything special to offer to be honest.


This building is directly connected to the Ghost Hall Building and cannot be entered directly from the streets.
It's small and it actually doesn't have any rooms at all. But it does have things to discover.

Here's the Dancing Dragon Building, storywise the first "real" high-rise building that you have go to. It has more rooms per floor then the previous ones because the fenced off second staircase leads to more doors.

Today I present the Tea Break Building and Phoenix Building. The former has quite a lot of occupied rooms and the latter of course is more or less only there for the fight against Rod.

Here's the Dimsum Building. It has the least rooms per floor out of all the buildings but it has unique restaurants, the slot house and more stuff to find.

Three Birds Building with elevator action instead of stairways.

Here's all of the E-Building Complex. The Moon Child Building is the biggest and most interesting so far.

Yes, keep them coming! I've always wanted to do this since the idea was brought up back in 2003. Never really got into it, but I think I will on my current game.

Here it is, the main event of the show! The Yellow Head Building Room Raid with almost 2 hours of exploration.



The project is now officially done. It was really a lot of fun to work on. Of course it took a lot of time but it was relaxing to play and easy to put together.

Believe it or not, there is actually more to explore of the Yellow Head Building!



The incredible power of the Map Glitch not only allows you to skip through pretty much everything you have to do in order to get up to Dou Niu, it also allows you to go beyond the 18th floor. The insanity of Shenmue detail overkill shines here as everything from floor 19 to 39 actually exists and can be explored. It does eventually run out of rooms on the 23rd floor but it's still baffling to no end, that they actually put nearly 100 rooms there that nobody was ever intended to get to...
