Is it possible? I have one but when I bought it there wasn't much you could do with it.

Anyone else managed to get it working?

I tried playing Project Justice with a Serial SD Card reader, not worth my $30 and 2 month wait. lol

i got that pos sd reader to work in ds (finally) about six months ago.
above said it best.
my experiences, just way too choppy. (tried with an sdiso another person created, was warned in advance)
serial buffer can't hack a stream that wide and fast.
at least it's good for backing up retails, so there's JUST that, for now.
(if i don't see my dream machine first, but i can land a gdi emu/modem socket replacement for a harddisk and gdi playback, that sd card reader would be useful for copying to and from the hdd, wouldn't matter if it's too slow, no games are played off it.
mpeg based files seem to keep up with it. (a blind music player by sd card.)
sorry for the ramble, but no, not playing shenmue

The serial port on the DC is too slow to handle most retail games. The main purpose really is for Emulators and homebrew. It can also help out devs who dont have a BBA/coders cable. But if you want to play retail games I'd suggest one of the two GDrom replacement drives. There is a USB and SD card one that replace your disc drive entirely.

Thanks guys I was going to put some more effort into it but to be honest with the latest Demul I would rather just use that or my actual copies of Shenmue (Was going to try 99min eng on sd)
