Currently back in production , this is an older thread and I have deleted outdated information from my other posts.
I will create a new thread when I have something substantial (and awesome) to show.

Skyrim is great game engine to recreate the Shenmue Game Environment

3rd & 1st Person View

Dialogue & Character Interactions
Image

Object Inventory & Inspection
Image

24 Hour Game Clock & Timed Events
Image

NPC Daily Routines
Image

Dynamic Changing Weather
Image

Barter Purchase & Selling
Image


On the downside Physical Combat is limited to 'Punching' . While the Melee & Magic Combat in Skyrim is very good, I would not want to see Ryo or any character going on a rampage. That doesn't mean Ryo can't go off hunting or fight some Japanese Demons

it has always baffled me why they ever took out that beta 'through road'. there must have been a reason I suppose.
look forward to seeing your progress with this. it will interesting to see a continuous journey from ryo's house right through to the harbour.

lol - you'll need to get Sumiya san's permission to build a main road right over her back garden ;-)

i'd say make it like the beta, open up the beta through road, and extend that road over the hills at the back. it will be nice to look down on sakuragaoka from up there. also make a path leading up to that radio tower thing. i always wanted to go up there and see it.

its upto you. a whole new road would be too intrusive imo.

I'm getting hyped for this, great work! The 'modern' setting aside, the Skyrim game engine is going to make for an excellent Shenmue tribute!

So hyped for this! Luckily I own both games on Steam so I am good to play this when released! Good thing GTA V tools are coming along so nicely now with us being able to port models into the game. Would be nice to see Ryos bike and forklift from All Stars ported to GTA V as well.
