I always lost because my duck was never able to fly .
If your duck doesn't fly you lose the race.

LOL now you guys make me doubts with duck race.

I remeber using the stairs to have long flying time and wining the race easily using that trick and leaving almost all stamina for the end.
I've been surprised when you were all saying it was hard to win because I remeber very well a quick victory in that race.

But maybe is cause I'm pro as you say
The only hard thing was the event in the building when you have to reach the 8th floor to meet Zhu Yuan Da.

I was very addicted with Shenmue... VERY VERY addicted. I used to play a lot of hours after school and more than 12 hours per day in weekends and holidays in almost 5 years and I never stopped to play that game until today.
Actually, my new savegame have all technique at 100% in Shenmue 1 except the throws, tornado kick and the move than Chen teach you at the end of the game.

Well I never paid attention to the duck race anyway.The reward was just a medal.
The reason I did it was because I wanted to do the secret fights especially Izumi.I never cared much about the extra games(except darts) & collecting all capsules!. What I did care was exploring. I used to talk to all the npc in the game too see what they say from time to time too see how their life changed but that was mostly shenmue 1.Also in shenmue 1 I used to stalk some of them to see their daily routine.
Exploration was what I loved most I try to open all the doors in Kowloon.
Since you are so pro I ask you can you beat the Rasta guy in Aberdeen? when he gets serious? like beting 500$
I beat everyone in darts in most difficulties except him lol. He hits the middle 100%! + time bonus.
In my opinion that was the hardest challenge in shenmue II.
Unlike most of you I never found hard the ghost building QTE I guess I am a Pro at QTE lol like you are a pro in duck races! Also I was pro in Arm Wresling I beat them all of course in the higest difficulty is impossible. I too master all moves except throw they almost imposible to master them all . I did master the Machinegun Fist My favorite throw move!

I was very bad in the Arm Wrestling but a friend used to be very quick pressing buttons so he made some challenges and won.
But me... Not even close. I think my best win was for 60$ but no sure.

And yeah, I was able to beat the dard guy but it took me almost one complete day like the lucky hits with the secret scrolls haha.
