I don't think Ryo has a chance with Nozomi. He turned away chance after chance and still could not figure it out. Electronic Gaming Monthly even gave ryo the award for "Biggest lunkhead manuver" at how he can so easily get a women but always bundles it. Like with Joy in the arcade...

Joy:Why don't you ever spend time with me?

Ryo:I don't have the time...

Joy: Why don't you ride my motercycle with me?

Ryo: Maybe next time. (yeah right)

But goro is a differnt story...

Maybe he'll get with Fangmei. I'm sure you all think I'm being ridiculous by saying this, but don't forget about that one semi-dramatic scene in Xiuying's apartment where Ryo leaves for Kowloon and says his goodbyes to Fangmei.

Fangmei mentions something about never forgetting about her and to promise to come back to see her again. As she says all this, the camerawork focusing on Fangmei seems to suggest or foreshadow that this is a scene that, while not significantly important now, may play out again in later sequels.

It'd be cool to see Ryo and FangMei hook up, even tho there is a huge age difference, who cares.

FangMei and Ryo would be ridiculous. I don't think I'd want to play Shenmue if Ryo were a pedophile. :roll:

I thnk that Ryo and Nozomi will sometime in the future hook up. Even if its not in the series, we can just say they did.

I didn't say they would hook up right away. If the series continues and spans another 4 or 5 years, then who knows what the developers have on their minds. There has to be some kind of significance to this particular scene...it was as if they wanted you to remember Fangmei begging Ryo to come back for her someday. Mark my words, we will probably see Ryo and Fangmei reunited. Maybe not romantically, but it's indeed a possibility given the ominous foreshadowing provided by that one cut scene.

I think that Shenhua has the best chances, since it's been fated that they would meet. Nazomi, she's gone to Canada, no way she'll find Ryo in China... not that she'd even go looking. Joy and Ryo don't seem to have much future, only nice thing he did for her was save her from Baihu. Fangmei I think is more significant to the story than Joy or Nazomi. She, like Nazomi, confessed her love. However, she got more reaction out of Ryo than Nazomi ever did. Also there were many conversations with Fangmei and Ryo actually asked her if there was anything he could do for her?! Not something you'd expect from Ryo. They just seemed to give her character a foreshadowing of importance, more so than the other women except Shenhua. But I still think he should take them all; Nazomi, Shenhua, Joy, Fangmei, Izumi, and of coarse Xiuying.

I think Ryo will end up with Nozomi, Joy is just kind of a dick tease and Shenhua is more of a friendly helper. Nozomi will come back or see Ryo some how and they will have a motorcycle ride type scene going on with the snuggle me up music playing while her skirt blows in the wind...Yep.
