I've played Shenmue 2 many times and even still I always manage to press A, though youre suppost to sit still and press nothing, I do it on impulse and end up wasting a day... Anyone else do this too whenever they start a new game?

If you know what's coming I have no idea why you'd even have your hand on the controller.

I always just sit back and watch on that scene, heh. It doesn't fool me anymore.
Though I did assume the first time I played that Zhangyu was a bad guy; I'd seen a screenshot of him pulling his knife on Ryo in a magazine before it came out :P

Heh, the first time i think i did it like 5 times in a row. I wasn't listening to what he was saying the times after the first time because it was repeating :P

Doesn't catch me out anymore.

When i played it my first time, he did said don't move. I thought when i pushed "A" it would work, on the very first time i wasn't actually paying attention when he said don't move. Of course i stuffed up, i done that again for the second and third time, stuffed up. And of course, i just left the controller to see what would happened, then volla, it worked. From now on i just put the controller down and sit back and enjoy the show.

i have to admit, i was tricked both times i went to him. I think its the way they do the atmosphere of the whole scene, its very ominous which makes you grip the joypad that extra bit harder. the barber guy is pretty mean looking too :?

I failed that so many times first time out. His voice in the Dreamcast version is also very initmidating which made me think he might be the type to do that, although on Xbox he sounds like a mouse.

When I first played the game, I sucked at it. I keep pressing the A button. Later I noticed that you shouldn't press the a button.

Yes, I pressed A 5 or 6 times. That scene totally baffled me on the Dreamast version when I first played it.

Haha, very true. He doesn't really sound as menacing,
