I've replayed it several times, but not nearly as many times as the first one. I don't know, but for me, there's something about the original Shenmue that lures me back time and time again...

I've replayed Shenmue 2 lots of times, because there are so many things in Shenmue 2 what are cool

I haven't replayed it yet, and honestly, I don't know if I ever will. Certain parts of it dragged on for what seemed like an eternity, and having to go through them again would be torture.

yeah, i agree. there are lots of big things which are like huge end of chapter things as well

I feel the exact same way as you guys. Ive replayed it once on the dreamcast last summer but i doubt i will replay the shenmue 2 xbox version.

I got the English Xbox one but I just started the JAP one last week again because of the unique feeling to it

You ask If I replayed Shenmue 2???
For Dreamcast 3 times the European version and 2 the Japanese version
For X box (I bought one ONLY for Shenmue 2 - hope also 3 - and for Panzer Dragoon orta) only 1 time for 2 reasons:
the first: The english dubbing is Awful (i strong support Japanese!!!)
the second: After playing I leaved home in Italy, Rome, for travel to china... for PLAYING "LIVE"!!!!
believe or not i'm visiting the same places of Ryo....
no cares of SARS or any other virus.... where i was... NO VIRUS!!!
Guilin is simply fantastic!!! now I understand the reason why Yu Suzuki "sensei" has ambiented the story in china...
I' m also looking for the "mirrors" but for those i must go to Shangai... where jade is one of the best trading...

I am going through a second time now, I hope its more exciting then the first. Other then Metal Gear Solid 2, this may be the only other game I beat more then once!

My thoughts are that people who played the first one more than II is the fact that the story came to a better cliff hanger and climax than the 2nd Shenmue. See, then once Shenmue 3 rolls around, we will see an increase in both Shenmue: Chapter 1 and Shenmue 2 games being played, because undoubtedly, Shenmue 3 will have yet another cliff hanger and then we wait another 2 years for Shenmue 4.....I love SEGA and AM2.....but not as much as women ;)
