Help fighting Eileen/Izumi

Replaying II on Dreamcast. I've done this a billion times but right now I'm stuck fighting Eileen. None of my moves are strong enough to dent her orbs past the first one. The previous times I've played II recently, it has always been the xbox version, which has more beefy moves list. Meanwhile, I'm playing on Dreamcast this run, and I couldn't transfer files from 1 meaning I have a default II move list, which sucks.

Help?

I havent playn them in awhile so I forget the most effective moves on them, but just experiment with their paterns. Try to keep as big of a distance as possible, move in for a strike/counter, move out, rinse repeat. Izumi is a complete beast. I think ive really only dedicated to beating her once. But the satisfaction is worth it.

They're similar to Chai in Shenmue 1, apart from the QTEs against Izumi. Use quick moves like rain thrust (>X) and string different fast attacks together, maybe finishing with an elbow assault. I often open sequences of attacks with rain thrust, it's usually the move I master first in S2.

I'm struggling to remember because it's been a while since I played, but I think rain thrust and twist knuckle go well together, in that order, followed up with something like elbow assault, crawl cyclone, double storm kick or horseshoe kick. Do them all as quickly as possible, preferrably starting the sequence right after you've dodged a move

^What he said for sure. Especially with Elbow Assault, double storm kick and if you can get off a counter-elbow assault that will fuck their day up good.

But I think the most important thing of all is to not have a brain aneurysm after loosing the 20th time. Taking a 5 minute break does wonders for your ego after Izumi makes you her bitch.

A quick dodge and jab always got the job done for me. Or sometimes you can try the occasional throw move, but she blocks like 75% of those.

she seems to rape you if you focus on high kicks

I would rape her ass if it were possible to mod in Akiyama's move set from Yakuza 4. Including Heat moves.. :rotflmao:

this, dodge when she attacks then 3 punches and maybe a kick if you have the time then dodge and repeat worked wonders for me, in fact using that made it seem almost easy I beat her with only losing 3 points of health

I ended up holding the pad to the side on the xbox version because the QTE's seemed to come a lot more often in that version.

I would never have thought there would be a difference like that between the versions.

Oh there was. They made the fights a little harder in the XBox version as well. The part with the black suits that come out the lift can be a bitch in the XBox version but are easy in the DC game.

That's stupid, now I don't feel as bad for not having defeated Izumi. What were they thinking, the Xbox pad had a much more sluggish feeling controller too. Defeats logic.

yeah the first time I played through it on DC I was surprised at how easy it felt but I think it was right way to go, the fights in the DC version were way too easy tbh

I thought the DC version had a good balance for most the part but did feel the BS guys needed to be harder. No idea why they made Izumi such a bitch.
