Shenmue 2 XBOX versions?

I was wondering,how many versions are there of Shenmue 2 for XBOX?

I noticed slight variations on the age label for the PAL releases.

PAL and NTSC are far as I know. Call me a fool but was Shenmue IIx released in Japan at all?

Probably works out one for every region of Europe (or other PAL region outside of) where the game was officially sold. USK is German, I'm guessing?

PEGI is the age-ratings board like ESRB. PAL exclusive ratings again? Meh.

I knew it was the ratings thing but they always say it weird like "RATED PEGI 12" I never hear in the US say it like that. "RATED ESRB M" Just says Rated M. Why can't they just say Rated 12. Also why did they have to use so many logo's on the box. Makes my imports look like a 3 year old slapped stickers all over it.
ESP pissed me off on classy covers.

Yeah, this whole USK logo shit is just typical for Germany. In the old days the USK logo used to be as small as the PEGI one. But then this whole "Oh my god! We have to prohibit 'killer games' and protect our children!" discussion happened and it was during that time the logo was enlarged. Now it jumps right into your face. Does it prevent parents from buying games for their kids who are still too young? No, it doesn't. Instead it pisses a lot of gamers off. Many games here come with turn-around covers, so that after you purchased a game you can turn the cover and the result is a beautiful box art without any logos whatsoever.

With the XBox only coming out in 2002 in Japan and this coming to XBox that year in the US and the following in the UK and Europe i doubt its sales were the reason.
Surely they would have wanted something to try and help sales and this game might have helped a little in Japan.

Bringing this slightly aged topic back up out of interest as there are actually quite a bunch of version for the Xbox.

First of all, the versions in question are both German. They've decided to give a later print run a revised USK logo as well as the addition of an FSK logo for the inculded movie.

Now as far as I can put things together there seem to be at least 10 different version (counting the second German version) of the game over the globe wich I currently own 7 off. They all have the catalog numer Z10 followed by 0000X with the X indicating wich language / market it was made for. I don't have the French ans Spanish version yet but I know their numbers so I'll make a list.

1 - US NTSC
2 - ???
3 - France
4 - Spain
5 - Italy
6 - Germany
7 - Scandinavia
8 - Australia
9 - UK

I really don't know what contry version 2 is. I could've been reserved for Japan despite the game was never really ment to get released there. Other then that it could be for Canada or South America, Netherlands, Easter Europe... who knows.

There is none. I gathered this information by picking single things out and looked at what I own.
When I get the chance I might scan the covers.

PAL SPAIN copies of Shenmue II tend to be expensive. Guess there was just a short supply. (And localized copies are far more expensive than any English version)

TBH, I bought the German version (The contents of the disc remain the same...)

Yeah, no Z10-00002. There's just no information about it to find anywhere. Let's say that it doesn't exist for now.
