I just came across this on youtube and thought it was pretty cool. Definitely check it out if you have a spare 20 minutes, and props to the dude who created it. :)

Nice video, very interesting and well-done. Wish he could've made it to Guilin, but good video either way.

I think he was kind of pushing the similarities between the reserve and guilin and also with the convenience store but it was still interesting. would have been great if he filmed himself asking people for directions to man mo temple like ryo

Thats really cool!

It's been a looong dream for me to travel to japan, and especially travel to the locations from Shenmue I and II.
I was unexpectedly taken to Japan for a 3 day business trip a couple of years ago, it was amazing, and was unable to plan anything.

But I have been saving up, and been thinking of traveling to Japan in a year or two to make a trip. Tokyo, Yokosuka, Dobuita, Sakuragaoka and then over to Hong Kong to see Aberdeen, Wan Chai, Man Mo Temple and then travel to Guilin :)

I know from some they have. mostly to yokosuka and they posted pictures and videos of the streets.

also back in the day when shenmue 2 was released I used to play it with a chinese friend and his dad is from hong kong region(chinese part) and he often went to hong kong for business and he was watching us play one day and he says, wow that is hong kong! he recognized it immediately.
