My favourite moment was when Ren showed a softer side for a change (giving the kid that After Burner capsule toy at the Moon Child orphanage). I also like how he bonds with Ryo as the game goes along culminating in him taking on all of the rest of the suited grunts at the rooftop of the Yellow Head Building whilst Ryo took on Dou Niu. Funniest though is when Ryo is supposed to be hiding from Dou Niu after knocking Yuan out and if you don't hide in time, Ren is like "tch, for feck's sake man, you're so stupid" and the way in which the scene plays out when you do hide in a crap place.

I actually don't think it's a glare as such, I always imagined it as a moment of reflecting internally on how dangerous and unnecessary the plank walk up was and trying to remain calm about it.
