I beat this game now once a while back and recently, but I don't understand something.

The powers of the mirrors, they do exactly what when they come together?

Also in the save Shenhua's father was in, when you place the pheonix mirror and sword it lights up to show the hand carved huge emblems. But, why does it show the other emblem if only Pheonix was inserted, or do they need both in order to activate something in that cave area?

Sorry, I'm a little washed on this, but on the positive side, it's fun not to know the game inside and out, I can now play it like crazy and get every little tid bit along with a new favorite game, like I did back with FF7 and RE.

Both mirrors together give you a map to the 'lost treasure'. Whatever that is. Putting the two mirrors together doesn't actually do anything, Iwao had both of them remember?

Yeah, but he didn't have them together...He may have put them in seperate places because he knew someone was after them, so in an attmept that wouldn't get both, he put them in different places(and it worked)

It also could be because something happens when they're together. I doubt it's something as big as the Chi You as some beleive, but if putting them together causes some kind of magic its better off putting them in different places.

Yuanda Zhu showed the purpose of the mirrors. It was a map. But it wasen't complete. I don't think the two mirrors do anything of consequence directly, but rather indirectly. As having the complete map would lead to whatever Lan Di is looking for.

its so weird how the whole game is still a mystery and the developers are so mysterious as well. like they wont let out any info. the developers and the game connect well with a mysterious vibe.

Yeah, though I thought if both are places in pedastals in the cave something more way happen, guess not though.
