Nice that they are mentioning it. The next step is to make it back to the AM2 site or something ;)

Unfortunately I'm not the biggest fan of the site redesign (I gave my quick 2 cents on the IGN Shenmue forum), but the new forum is much nicer. Overall it's a big improvement.

Cheers.

It's all good, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Happy you think it's an improvement. So what happened? Why didn't you finish it then?

And I'd like to see a full image of your work, if you don't mind sharing. I do this for a living, so if you want input I wouldn't mind giving it.

Edit: Oh and Orient, always loved your sig on IGN. Good stuff.

Stellar stuff. Retro Gamer (wish the re-design was up when they wrote that), Payton and now SEGA themselves. Hopefully more plugs to come. Lots of love, nice to see.

This is epic! :D

Something tells me Sega will now have it firmly in their heads that we Shenmue fans wont be going anywhere for a very long time!!!

Awesome news! Hopefully this input means we'll be seeing the games released on XBL/PSN. I'd love to start with the first game there since I don't have a Dreamcast, and then jump to Shenmue II (Xbox version).

Wow all this attention is stellar. Hopefully we get even more. Ultimately, I want this site to eventually be mentioned on a major news blog like Kotaku and Joystiq. Then we've done our job well.

Speaking of Shenmue II, also try out the DC version of it with (according to most) better Japanese voice acting.

If you have a gamepad i suggest emulating the first game on your pc with NullDC. It emulates almost flawlessly on a half decent pc. I pefer it to playing it on my dc because i can now play it in 720p on my hdtv. Just Google "Snesorama Shenmue" and you will find the game without any trouble.

It just didn't end up happening because of the changeover, I guess. I'm pretty sure we were going to go through with it, but Ziming was unsure of the future of the site's ownership. He said that if there was a new owner that you'd probably do your own redesign, so I waited and...that's exactly what happened.

Here's the last version of my design I did for Ziming:

*Edit - I guess these boards don't automatically make thumbnails of large images :P

I would have tweaked it here and there (especially streamlining the links & menus -- adding drop-down sub-menus etc.), but the general layout's there.

I've seen your folio site. Your work's really good. I'm a designer, too (mostly web, but dropping it to get into games). Most of my web stuff can be found here: http://lloydparker.com/ Still haven't gotten around to uploading my print and illustration work, though.

Yama wrote:Edit: Oh and Orient, always loved your sig on IGN. Good stuff.

Cheers dude. I should upload it on here.

Really impressed with all the attention the Dojo's getting. Great stuff.
