Watch GDC Live: Livestreams of BioShock, Shenmue, LucasArts, and more panels.

This week is the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, a gathering of game creators from around the world to talk about how they do what they do (and even show off a few surprise announcements). We'll be covering all of the biggest stories from the show, but even if you can't make it to the show yourself, you can still feel like you're here by watching select panels live on GameSpot.

We'll be streaming panels live as they occur, and you can check out our streaming schedule below! All panel descriptions are taken directly from the GDC online schedule.

This page will be updated throughout the week to include the live and archived videos.

The best way to reveal it was how Nintendo did it at E3. Imagine Mark and Yu saying at the end, "and just before we leave, we would like to show you something special we have been working on...."
The crowd reaction would be bigger than this id say.

I say we all post reaction video's of ourselves going nuts if something gets announced. That way we can turn it into a compilation and become e-famous.

Apparently it's first come first served (besides the guest list) so there's a good chance I might be able to get in. Presuming I don't have a hangover. Should hopefully be a good insight.

Considering nothing is going to happen, I find myself whistling Sedge Tree a bit too much.

As much as I love Shenmue, i can't imagine a similar reaction as the one in this video for Zelda, the fan base is just too great compared to shenmue, it's hard to picture an audience going as wild as this for Shenmue. I hope I''m wrong, but imagine if they did announce shenmue 3 and the crowd reaction was lacking enthusiasm, it wouldn't look good.

I do love Shenmue, but I also do get the feeling sometimes that I am part of a rare group of gamers, whilst the majority don't appreciate how good games can be and just love off shit like CoD, Fifa and other games that are released once every year with only minor changes.

Anyway, 1 more day now, we are now so close to maybe coming to a conclusion of the future of shenmue, and I'm hoping with certainty that we DO get some clarity on the future, there simply has to be an opportunity to raise the subject on whether we will see a shenmue 3 or not, if they can honestly talk for the whole hour and blatantly ignore the subject of shenmue 3 completely ,i will really have to contemplate on whether SEGA's statement (saying that they listen to their fans) is true or not.

I think people would flip out if they announced 3 or a conclusion. Zelda is great but it's expected. Shenmue is no Zelda in terms of popularity but I think the reaction for Shenmue would be significant. People want the game. It isn't like the gaming world is Zelda-starved. We have been in a Shenmue famine for quite a while now though. And excitement at those events is contagious. I think if you had a handful of people excited it wouldn't be contained to just that group.

Do you want us to keep the cameras rolling if nothing gets announced? Then we can have a compilation of all the sad and heartbroken faces. :rotflmao:

I feel like this will be a dissapointment, but maybe there is a glimmer of hope?
