Ffs... what is wrong with you miserable buggers? Sega doesn't even ACKOWLEDGE Shenmue for YEARS. Then we get Ryo as a selectable character and DLC in one of Sega's big sellers. Now they are releasing a new game - whatever type of game it is - using this long dead franchise.
Ok, so ultimately it's not what we want... but look at the bigger picture - Sega aren't just going to drop tens of millions developing a new game to wrap up the franchise when the first two games lost them money. But these little bits of life we are seeing in Shenmue these days surely point to them testing the water. Surely proof that all the years of Shemue fans like us badgering them may be starting to pay off. Sega are in it for the money - not the art - just like ANY business. We should continue to ask for Shenmue, but we should also support Sega with these other Shenmue-related products.
