I heard back and was able to place an order.

Since the postal code formats don't match I wasn't able to initially create an account. The gent who responded told me to use the postal code 0003149 in both the account and shipping forms, and to put my postal code in the Remarks section of the shipping form.

3,800 yen for the shirt plus 1,700 yen for EMS shipping; total price 5,500 yen.

I'm pretty excited to see a new piece of official Shenmue merchandise!

$50 for a shirt? Sounds reasonable. I must buy this.

Once your shirt arrives you should compare the size of the shirt to what you already own. Cause everyone keeps saying if you buy clothing in Japan it should be one size larger.

What if you're European and not American?

I don't know. That's the whole reason I'm asking this question. Maybe shirt sizes are the same in America and Europe? Someone know? Might be safer to just order one size larger.

I can confirm atleast for US vs Japan as ziming said, always buy a Japanese shirt one size larger. Or any clothes for that matter. I learned the hard way with boxer briefs..
My guess is eurpean standards are half a step smaller then american.

I found this Facebook post from a French guy living in Japan. I guess this confirms shirt sizes in Europe and Japan are the same.

"Here goes the Shenmue T-Shirt ! Ordered yesterday, got it like 1 hour ago. I have yet to wear it, but size is the same as the french sizes so picking M size was a great choice ! Enjoy !"

Thanks for posting my pictures Ziming. Indeed, tshirt size seems to match the french one. Wearing M shirts in France and this is a M size one. As said to Ziming, no idea about other countries but i guess you can check out with cm measurements.

^I let my browser do the translating for me. For the zip/postal code question I had, I typed the question in English and added in Japanese using Google Translate. They responded in English.

Zim, they're out of medium shirts so I ordered a large. Good point about the sizing.. but for me I'm a collection nerd so I'll never wear it anyway.

Hey guys, i'm trying to buy one using chromes google translate, it's a bit of a struggle...but i'm in the UK, and it won't accept my post code for the zip code bit. It says the zip code format is invalid. I'm guessing it's expecting numbers only, but anyone know how I can get past this stage? Thanks!

Okay I sort of figured out a temporary fix, i just put the example zip code in of 1000000 lol...and i managed to get through the pages. This might be stupid, but tbh, I put the postcode and full address down in the other boxes, so hopefully someone at the company can speak a little English due to the fact they have international shipping to europe as an option. All else fails, I feel if it's official Sega merch the company will be professional enough to just refund me my money. Will see :D
